Sonja Stuchtey

Sonja started her professional carreer as a strategy consultant with Booz.Allen & Hamilton. Soon she pivoted to an entrepreneurial path, founded an award-winning social entreprise, co-shaped this new field of social business, established the first social franchise and modernized science education. Her books are still serving for teacher trainings in the space.

After more than a decade in science education she moved into tech particularly internet platforms as Senior Advisor, Investor, and Board Member. In 2022 she co-founded The Landbanking Group together with her partner Prof. Martin Stuchtey to create and catalyze nature markets for the restoration and preservation of land at planetary scale.

Besides her business engagements she is chairing the Supervisory Board of Alliance4Europe, which she co-founded in the spirit of preserving democracy in the wake of extremism in 2018. Moreover, she serves the idea of responsible business, long-termism, ethical tech and inclusive metrics as member of the Supervisory Board of the Capitals Coalition, and as fellow in the Atlantic Council GeoTech Center.

Sonja has studied Business Administration at WHU (Germany), IAE (France), UC Berkeley (USA), International Education at Bath University (UK), Data Sciences at UC Berkeley (USA) and holds a PhD of TU Munich (Germany). She is a passionate learner delightedly picking up new skills. Sonja is married and the mother of six children.
